'Facing panic attacks - how I dealt with severe burnout' with Josh Piterman

Josh Piterman is an established musical theatre performer and classical crossover artist who has been working consistently on Australian and UK stages over the past 15 years. His past credits include being a part of international pop opera group The Ten Tenors, Tony in the 2010 Australian production of Westside Story, Bustopher Jones/Gus/Growltiger in the 2015/16 Australian season of Cats (a role that one him the Green Room Award for best supporting actor in a Musical), Corny Collins in the UK tour of Hairsprayand Gerry Goffin in the 2017/18 Australian tour of Beautiful: The Carole King Musical. His impressive West End debut came as he took on the most coveted role as The Phantom in the Phantom of the Opera in 2019. From such an inspiring catalogue of work and unbeatable work ethic, we delve in to burn out mode through this episode with Josh and the toll it can take on your Mental Health and Wellbeing if you don't allow yourself to pull back and speak out.

We also talk openly about his advocacy towards normalising the conversations around Mental Health especially with Men and learn of the tools he used on his own journey when he experienced severe burn out. ‘I’ve got scars and wounds. It’s ok to be imperfectly perfect. Even though I’m imperfect and I’m imperfect in lots of ways. But, it’s what makes me, me. I think that’s the ultimate goal is to be alright with myself. That self worth. You are human you know. There’s a lot of help out there right now. Pride and Ego can kill and I just think it’s so important to ask for help’ - @paul_danan_official

From Hollyoaks to Hollywood, Uk Actor Paul Danon is no stranger to the public eye and openly speaks about his past through his platform and podcast ‘The Morning After with Paul Danon’ to share his own experiences through addiction to recovery and more to help countless people in the world who may be going through or have dealt with the same things.

'I had to shut half of me off or I don't believe I would've survived being thrown into fame so quick' with Suzanne Shaw.

Suzanne Shaw shot to instant fame in 2001 as part of the winning pop group ‘Hearsay’ on the very first reality show ‘Popstars’ in the UK. What followed was a whirlwind career. The group’s debut single was the fastest selling non-charitable record in UK chart history, selling over 1.3 million copies. They went on to have 2 number one records and 4 top 10 hits. They had their own Saturday night TV show Hear’say It’s Saturday, performed at the Royal Variety Show with Elton John, and headlined their own hit UK tour. When they split in 2003, Suzanne carved a successful career in musical theatre, plays and television.

At the start of 2020, Suzanne spoke openly about her battle with mental health and that by making some big lifestyle changes it helped reduce her depression and anxiety.

Such an in depth conversation this week with Suzanne, as Founder Glenn Marsden discusses not only a career that has seen some incredible highlights but also what comes with being thrust into stardom at such heights and so quickly. We hear about the effects it can have on your mental wellbeing and how Suzanne navigated through this period, on one hand enjoying her passion of performing on stage but on the other finding herself having to shut half of herself off due to seeing weekly articles on her private life rather than what she was there to do.

We also hear all about her latest project the 'Shaw Happy Plan' in which from such an overwhelming response from her followers and the media with Suzanne documenting her own journey, she developed a movement through her social platform to help so many others worldwide with lifestyle habits and changes.

To find out more information about Suzanne and to keep up to date with her latest projects, you can find her across her social media platforms at: @suzi_shaw

Be sure to also make a donation through her funding page via her socials as she takes on her first Marathon in aid of raising funds for Mental Health.

She will be running 19 hours for the 19 people who take their lives everyday in the UK. All proceeds will go to the Samaritans.

‘I think being Imperfectly Perfect is beautiful. Allowing everyone around you to be honest. We are all weird. We are all a bit quirky and that’s beautiful. Let’s celebrate that. Go out into the world and be exactly who you are. Dr Seuss said; ‘Those who matter, don’t mind and those who mind, don’t matter’and that’s exactly how I want my children and myself. The best thing we can do now is to pass these messages or these lessons on to our children and from the jump, you be exactly who you are. Are you honest? Are you allowing yourself to be honest? - Jamelia

A huge thank you to Britian’s very own singer-songwriter Jamelia for getting behind the Imperfectly Perfect Campaign’s Global Efforts in changing the culture and narrative around Mental Health.

Jamelia is not only an incredible advocate for people speaking up but somebody who has sold millions of albums and scored number one’s all over the world. She has won multiple awards including 4 Mobo’s a Q award and an Ivor Novello. She’s appeared on programmes on every major UK TV channel and hit the screens on countless movies both in front and her music as soundtracks and tv screens.

So we are truly grateful for her taking the time out of her schedule to get behind our efforts and share her story on the ImperfectlyPerfect Podcast.

Releasing this week, be sure to head to Spotify or IHeartRadio to subscribe and keep notified when the episode drops.

'I realised over the years, I didn't have a voice until I went inside and learnt about me' with Kiko Ellsworth.

Being Imperfectly Perfect to me .... 'it's like my mother told me,it's my own sunshine. It's accepting my own light, my love for myself. I'm not perfect, but I'm the perfect ME. Can't nobody do me, better than me, and that's what it is, it's accepting that.' - Kiko Ellsworth.

Being Imperfectly Perfect to me .... ‘it’s like my mother told me,it’s my own sunshine. It’s accepting my own light, my love for myself. I’m not perfect, but I’m the perfect ME. Can’t nobody do me, better than me, and that’s what it is, it’s accepting that.’ - Kiko Ellsworth.

An Incredible Actor known for his work in some of Hollywood’s biggest tv shows and movies 🎥 who made the decision to step away from the lime-light to find himself and pursue more things in life that felt right for him.

This episode we hear such an honest and raw chat listening to Kiko's journey through growing up and realising he didn't have a voice, was full of fear, was hiding unconsciously and didn't have any idea who he was, to then being thrust in to the spotlight and suddenly having adoration from countless people who knew a character from the big screen and not the real Kiko. We learn how through his journey he learnt to go internal and figure out what was going on within himself, where his past behaviour came from and how he started figuring out what was going on with himself to the point he finally started to find out who he was. What's more incredible is what he has gone forward with from that self realisation, work and knowledge. Going out to help, serve and teach so many others in this world.

‘You have to love the job, even when it is not loving you’ with Akshay Kumar Born and raised in East London, Akshay Kumar has gone on to carve an incredible career for himself securing his first lead role as the quiet, tech-savvy genius, Cam, in Unstoppable Entertainment's teen-party film 'Legacy'.

Shortly after, playing Nicki Veer to Ray Panthaki's Jay Veer in the romantic comedy 'One Crazy Thing' followed by the role of Roshan Jabour in ITV's 'The Suspicions of Mr. Whicher: Beyond the Pale' alongside Paddy Considine. A month before his graduation, Akshay was cast as Rahim in Season 4 of the Emmy-winning U.S. show 'Homeland' (starring Claire Danes, Mandy Patinkin, Rupert Friend and Suraj Sharma).

His first Hollywood feature film credit came in the form of Michael Apted's 'Unlocked' (May 2017) starring Noomi Rapace, Orlando Bloom, John Malkovich and Michael Douglas. Since then, he has gone on to work steadily between British and American Film & TV, as well as a handful of short and independent films - some of which he has co-produced and is currently starring in the hit US series 'Pandora'

We see an incredible body of work Akshay has achieved, yet in this episode we delve deep in to the behind the scenes of what it has actually taken Akshay to overcome. Self-doubt, been told in the past he the worst at acting school and his craft, made to feel undeserving of his agent, being an introvert whilst trying to navigate his way through an industry where being resilient and confidence are part essentials to keep going.

'I needed to give up. I needed to realise people liked me for me being me' with Damien Bodie

This episode's guest began his journey into a world of make believe at young age, working in film and tv on an array of children series, and with over two decades of evolution his credits including series such as winners and losers, neighbours, and Elephant Princess. A life time of positivity and optimism hit a sharpe resistance of polar opposite perspective and almost lost him all that he had ever known to be. But like the caterpillar. Re-emerging to find a true state of possibility and happiness. Which leads him to his greatest role yet, as a soon to be father. We welcome Australian Actor Damien Bodie.

This was such an in-depth, almost 2 hour chat as Founder; Glenn and Damien get deep and real. We hear of an amazing career in the lime light, and how self-doubt crept in which nearly lost Damien everything. We discuss the fear of failure yet the fear of success and ultimately what it took for Damien to dig deep and realise what he needed to do in himself to take back control of his life to turn everything around. To find out more about Damien, simply head to his socials at @damienbodie or IMDB at: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0090926/

Beating The Odds with Anthony Trucks

Anthony Trucks is a self proclaimed "Foster kid turned NFL athlete turned serial entrepreneur." He is a family man, appeared on an American Ninja Warrior, is a former NFL player, Business Owner, International Speaker and Corporate Business Consultant. At the age of three years old, Anthony was placed into the foster care system.

Anthony Trucks is a self proclaimed “Foster kid turned NFL athlete turned serial entrepreneur." He is a family man, appeared on an American Ninja Warrior, is a former NFL player, Business Owner, International Speaker and Corporate Business Consultant. At the age of three years old, Anthony was placed into the foster care system. It’s a well-known fact that up to 50 percent of kids placed in the system will end up homeless upon emancipation, and 75% of prison inmates in the U.S. are former foster kids so needless to say the odds were against him from the beginning. This looming reality was never lost on him and he spent a good bulk of his childhood feeling adrift, unworthy and listless. For years, he spent every day in survival mode, just trying to make it to the next day, week and year in one piece. Listen in to this powerful episode, as Anthony delves in to his story, his personal struggles and how he overcame adversity and turned everything around to become the man he is today. Powerful, inspirational and life lessons that we can all learn from.

A huge thank you as we reach our second year anniversary.

Today see’s us reach our second year anniversary of the Imperfectly Perfect Campaign.

*a few words from Founder; Glenn Marsden.

’It has far surpassed what I set out as a passion project. Gaining international attention within 12 months, amassing worldwide influential public figures getting behind my efforts, a highly acclaimed podcast, got the chance to showcase through incredible advocates helping the efforts to the Mental Health Commissioners Chambers at Parliament House, had meetings in the USA at Paramount Pictures, gained international press coverage and network coverage inc being a guest alongside my good friend and team mate @jeremyjacksonfitness on the Global Talkshows Digital Series going out live to 9 million people, being a guest with the campaign on Amazon Prime show Gown & Out in Beverley Hls and NOW we have our global efforts continuing with more incredible initiatives and the International Workshop Series.

Today we looked at our total combined reach and then across our international exposure from all of our platforms and coverage and are sincerely blown away that we have surpassed 10 million and watching our reach and exposure grow by the day.

From the bottom of my heart, I thank each and every person who has believed in my ‘passion’ project to make a change towards mental health and continuing to get behind the campaigns initiatives to merely get more awareness and help in front of people so that they know they are not alone.’ - Glenn Marsden.

Uncovering Every Ounce of Courage with Actor Gerald Isaac Waters.

Five years ago, Gerald Isaac Waters suffered a fall that left him permanently paralyzed from the neck down, and confining him to a mobile wheelchair. Hearing words like "new normal" and "never again" in a time of such darkness stung even more so than on a day-to-day basis.

Our latest episode for the Imperfectly Perfect Podcast has just dropped with none other than Actor Gerald Isaac Waters who you can currently see starring in the hit movie on @netflix right now ‘All Together Now’ a heart-warming story of finding hope in the darkest of times.

It tells the story of friendship and gives us hope and that tale of friendship in the movie certainly hit home for Gerald as he recalls the moment everything changed for him and how he gathered the strength to rebuild.

“On July 2015, my life tragically took a change. Life as I knew it was over and now I was faced with what would become my new normal. The strength to rebuild and start my new life definitely came in the form of my family and my friends. Having them as my rock when times got hard and as a cheering squad when I started to achieve goals is the reason I am where I am today,"

We are truly thrilled to bring you such an inspirational episode with such an empowering guy who is making a big impact not only in his work, but in the lives of many sharing his story.
