Anthony Trucks is a self proclaimed “Foster kid turned NFL athlete turned serial entrepreneur." He is a family man, appeared on an American Ninja Warrior, is a former NFL player, Business Owner, International Speaker and Corporate Business Consultant. At the age of three years old, Anthony was placed into the foster care system. It’s a well-known fact that up to 50 percent of kids placed in the system will end up homeless upon emancipation, and 75% of prison inmates in the U.S. are former foster kids so needless to say the odds were against him from the beginning. This looming reality was never lost on him and he spent a good bulk of his childhood feeling adrift, unworthy and listless. For years, he spent every day in survival mode, just trying to make it to the next day, week and year in one piece. Listen in to this powerful episode, as Anthony delves in to his story, his personal struggles and how he overcame adversity and turned everything around to become the man he is today. Powerful, inspirational and life lessons that we can all learn from.

Uncovering Every Ounce of Courage with Actor Gerald Isaac Waters.

Five years ago, Gerald Isaac Waters suffered a fall that left him permanently paralyzed from the neck down, and confining him to a mobile wheelchair. Hearing words like "new normal" and "never again" in a time of such darkness stung even more so than on a day-to-day basis.

Our latest episode for the Imperfectly Perfect Podcast has just dropped with none other than Actor Gerald Isaac Waters who you can currently see starring in the hit movie on @netflix right now ‘All Together Now’ a heart-warming story of finding hope in the darkest of times.

It tells the story of friendship and gives us hope and that tale of friendship in the movie certainly hit home for Gerald as he recalls the moment everything changed for him and how he gathered the strength to rebuild.

“On July 2015, my life tragically took a change. Life as I knew it was over and now I was faced with what would become my new normal. The strength to rebuild and start my new life definitely came in the form of my family and my friends. Having them as my rock when times got hard and as a cheering squad when I started to achieve goals is the reason I am where I am today,"

We are truly thrilled to bring you such an inspirational episode with such an empowering guy who is making a big impact not only in his work, but in the lives of many sharing his story.

'The Enemy Within' - Joe Williams Tew.

Listen to this episode from ImperfectlyPerfect Podcast on Spotify. In 2012, Joe Williams found himself sitting in a Dubbo psychiatric unit, faced with a choice. The former NRL player and professional boxer had just attempted suicide. "Joe you're lucky to be alive," his doctor said.

The former NRL player and professional boxer had just attempted suicide.

"Joe you're lucky to be alive," his doctor said.

"You've got a second chance at life now, what are you going to do with it?"

In the years prior, Williams had managed to kick his addictions to illicit drugs and alcohol. But he had fallen into a destructive pattern of prescription drug use, and was struggling with his recently-diagnosed bipolar disorder.

Williams says that day in Dubbo was one step in an ongoing journey to self-knowledge and recovery, but it marked a turning point.

"It was in that moment, I said to myself … 'I am so thankful to be alive, and every day I get to open my eyes, I'm going to treat that as a gift'," he said....
